Job Description
Jabama is seeking a passionate and experienced Frontend Lead to take ownership of our frontend technology stack and elevate the user experience.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the frontend architecture and technical direction across user-facing and admin platforms.
Design and implement scalable, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and Nx monorepos.
Collaborate closely with Product and Backend teams to define and deliver impactful features.
Mentor and grow frontend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
Continuously improve developer experience (DX) by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and workflows.
Ensure top-tier performance, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals across all surfaces.
Stay ahead of frontend trends, tools, and best practices; drive adoption of forward-looking technologies.
Advocate for clean, modular code and help establish long-term technical strategies
What We’re Looking For:
6+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Deep expertise in React and Next.js, including rendering strategies (SSR, CSR, SSG, ISR).
Proficiency in TypeScript, modular architectures, and Nx monorepos.
Strong understanding of modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, scalable architecture).
Solid knowledge of performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and Core Web Vitals.
Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab), and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
Strong technical communication skills and the ability to lead architectural discussions and code reviews.
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for clean, maintainable, scalable code.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with PWA development, service workers, or edge rendering.
Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns.
Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing/blogging.
Experience working on high-scale, user-centric products.
