Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Network and IT Expert to manage and secure our enterprise-grade network, storage, and IT infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, virtualization, storage systems, and wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our IT systems while leading critical projects and mentoring junior staff.Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management
Design, configure, and manage Cisco Catalyst switches (9500, 9200, and 2960 series).
Manage MikroTik CCR2216 and CCR1009 routers.
Operate Cisco Nexus switches (N3K-C3064PQ-10GX, N5K-C5672UP) in a high-performance data center.
Optimize SFP modules and fiber optic networking.
Firewall and Security Operations
Administer Fortinet F200 firewall and advanced security features (VPNs, IPS).
Conduct risk assessments and enforce network segmentation and best practices.
Manage access control, endpoint protection, and role-based authentication.
Ensure compliance with standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Virtualization & Systems Administration
Administer VMware ESXi hosts and virtual environments.
Plan for capacity, failover, and high availability.
Wireless & Access Layer
Manage enterprise wireless access points for secure, reliable Wi-Fi.
Oversee user profile management and access control policies.
Storage Infrastructure Management
Administer enterprise SAN/NAS systems for performance, redundancy, and integrity.
Monitor storage performance (IOPS, throughput).
Implement backup, snapshot, and replication strategies.
Align storage with app and DB team requirements.
OS-Level Management
Manage and harden Linux and Windows servers.
Automate OS provisioning, patching, and configuration.
Monitor system logs and performance.
Apply security baselines and manage permissions.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/3 network, virtualization, and storage issues.
Leadership & Strategic Planning
Lead infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
Mentor junior staff and maintain documentation and SOPs.
Contribute to IT policy, disaster recovery, and infrastructure planning.
Qualifications:
5+ years in enterprise networking, IT infrastructure, and storage.
Expertise in Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching.
Experience with MikroTik, Fortinet, VMware ESXi, and enterprise wireless.
Knowledge of SAN/NAS (Dell EMC, NetApp, Synology).
Strong grasp of OSPF, BGP, VLANs, ACLs, STP.
Familiarity with security frameworks and data protection standards.
High availability and disaster recovery design skills.
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Cisco CCNP or CCIE
MikroTik MTCINE
Fortinet NSE 4 or NSE 7
VMware VCP
Storage certs (e.g., NetApp NCDA, Dell EMC)
Nice to Have:
Experience with high-availability and DR implementations.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform).
Background in regulated environments (finance, healthcare).
Experience with SIEM/logging tools (Graylog, ELK, Splunk).
