Roles & Responsibilities:
To explore innovative AI-driven solutions in line with the digital transformation strategies to revolutionize fiber operations and FTTx deployments.
To monitor links and FTTx network availability and performance of fiber transmission, track issues and high fault links, and provide reports of all issues to ensure service availability of provided links
To check new projects on-site and documents based on acceptance criteria.
To prepare operational procedures and documents for Fiber Transmission Equipment and FTTx network; including but not limited to passive network components.
To implement the procedure for controlling service preventive maintenance (PM) activities on Fiber to the site and FTTx; including but not limited to passive network components.
To monitor the fiber transmission and FTTx network faults within all maintenance companies to ensure recovery within SLA and proper time.
To collaborate on establishing appropriate operational procedures for the FTTx network deployments.
To monitor and ensure the high availability of FTTx traffic routes from source to customer.
To ensure FTTx network efficiency through change and operational support.
To monitor and track the plans provided by FTTx infrastructure planning to have more reliable and stable links.
To facilitate implementation and support regarding lease fiber links and guide related Operations departments to maintain the integrity of the Company FTTx while keeping the databases updated.
To ensure FTTx network downtime is mitigated with the minimum effect on the company network.
To ensure outsourced FTTx transmission operations meet agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs aligned with business requirements.
To ensure that fiber infrastructure, topology and links, and FTTx components delivered by the planning team adhere with IP/TX standards by acceptance procedure.
To support the rollout of fiber transmission infrastructure and FTTx projects by vendors.
To monitor FTTx link (including but not limited to passive network components) to implement the change based on the company requirements.
To monitor and control HSE requirements at work to avoid unsafe act/condition with close cooperation with network HSE team.
To ensure that all tools, equipment, and vehicles are kept in good working order.
To ensure contractors adhere to due dates and quality standards.
Job Requirements:
B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication, Computer, Electronics, or other related engineering
Master’s degree is advantageous
Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission operation and implementation environment
Experience thorough grounding in the requirement of a GSM/MBB network in terms of all transmission requirements
Experience working in a medium organization
Experience in fiber deployments
Experience in FTTx/fiber OSP network operations, fiber and broadband access networks, PON standards (particularly ITU-T G.98x), optical transmission technologies (SDH/WDM networks), and fiber network testers and tools (OTDR, OLTS, VFL)
