Karl Kolb is a specialized full-range supplier for laboratory and medical institutions in various
countries. The analytical and medical equipment that Karl Kolb supplies to its customers is always of
the highest standards, mainly German-made and is used in the fields of higher education, research,
health and industry. Since its incorporation in 1948, Karl Kolb has been enjoying a very high
reputation for its top-quality equipment, service, reliability and its project based approach that
allows equipping complete universities, laboratories and hospitals from one single source.
Karl Kolb has recently been appointed as the exclusive agent of a leading European manufacturer of
Histopathology instruments and consumables in Iran. In this context, we are looking for a talented
individual with a comprehensive understanding of Histopathology as well as a proven track-record in
sales. The Histopathology Specialist will be working closely with the Regional Sales Manager Middle
East & Africa based in Dreieich/Germany as well as the Sales Manager based in Tehran/Iran in order
to introduce the aforementioned manufacturer in Iran.
Requirements
- University degree as Karshenase Oloume Azmayeshgahi OR in Biomedical Engineering and
Technologies, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry OR any relevant degree from a Medical
Technical Institute - Minimum of 3 years work experience in Histopathology - Solid understanding of sales & applications of Histopathology instruments and consumables - Ability to generate new business leads, communicate with potential customers and
coordinate follow-up procedures - Ability to plan marketing activities, events and exhibitions - Ability to carry out basic installations of instruments such as embedding centers, tissue
processors, microtomes, automatic stainers and digital imaging systems - Experience in registering and importing laboratory equipment that require the approval of
the Ministry of Health and Medical Sciences (i.e. IMED) - Attention to detail, initiative and an independent working style - Native proficiency in Farsi, professional fluency in English - Ability to adapt to a German management style with a flat hierarchy and open channels of
communication - Willingness to travel within and outside Iran
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility to establish a leading European manufacturer of Histopathology
instruments and consumables as a premium brand in a proactive manner with the goal to
develop a sustainable business - Establishment and operation of a demo laboratory in Tehran with the purpose to showcase
certain equipment to potential clients - Provision of technical know-how during business negotiations and following requests by end
users (trouble-shooting) - Registration of Karl Kolb as the exclusive agent of a leading European manufacturer of
Histopathology instruments and consumables with the relevant authorities (IMED, customs,
etc.) - Organization and attendance of relevant conferences and exhibitions - Coordination and execution of necessary training for peers and clients, respectively
