At Miare, we are looking for a Data Analyst to partner closely with the Delivery team — diving deep into funnels, diagnosing problems, uncovering insights, and building dashboards that empower fast, data-driven decisions.
Our Delivery team plays a critical role in acquiring and retaining both drivers and customers, ensuring seamless growth and service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Exploration & Querying:
Write optimized SQL on large production datasets, joining and validating multiple data sources (orders, drivers, users, events).
Expected seniority: You handle complex data models independently and ensure accuracy and performance.
Decision Support & Business Analysis:
Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Growth to analyze acquisition, retention, and efficiency metrics, and assess campaign or policy outcomes.
Expected seniority: You own the full analysis process — from framing questions to delivering actionable insights.
Dashboards & Visualization:
Build and maintain dashboards in Superset or similar BI tools; define clear, documented, and self-service KPIs.
Expected seniority: You translate SQL results into clear visuals with minimal guidance.
Funnel & Retention Analytics:
Own key funnel definitions (signup → activation → repeat) and diagnose causes of metric shifts.
Expected seniority: You proactively monitor trends and lead root-cause analyses.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with Delivery leadership to prioritize impactful analyses, document definitions, and communicate insights clearly across teams.
Expected seniority:
You explain complex analyses simply and drive data-informed decisions.
Task Complexity:
This role demands analytical depth and business understanding. You’ll turn raw operational data into actionable insights that improve growth and retention.
Success requires both technical mastery and ownership — balancing speed, accuracy, and clarity in a high-autonomy environment.
Job requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis or analytics engineering.
Advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, conditional aggregates).
Experience working directly on production data (non-ETL).
Proven ability to turn analysis into business recommendations.
Strong understanding of acquisition, retention, and funnel metrics.
Familiarity with BI tools (Superset, Tableau, PowerBI).
Skills:
Data exploration and performance optimization.
Business and operational analytics.
Funnel and retention analysis.
Dashboard creation and metric documentation.
Clear communication with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Python or R for analysis.
Knowledge of A/B testing, experiment evaluation, or causal inference.
Background in on-demand, logistics, or delivery-based businesses.
Education:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
