Lead and grow engineering teams by providing technical guidance, coaching, and structured feedback, with a strong focus on developing Tech Leads and senior engineers.
Ensure successful delivery of software projects by translating organizational and technical strategies (defined by VP of Engineering) into executable team plans.
Oversee the design and evolution of scalable and maintainable system architectures in alignment with business and product requirements.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines across teams.
Monitor team productivity, delivery performance, and system reliability using data-driven metrics rather than subjective assessments.
Facilitate collaboration within Agile teams and remove organizational or technical impediments that impact delivery.
Partner closely with Product Managers to align technical execution with product goals and manage trade-offs effectively.
Manage technical risks, incidents, and dependencies to ensure system stability and predictable delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on code quality, technical debt reduction, and engineering efficiency.
Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and technical decisions.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
Strong background in software architecture, including experience with scalable, distributed, and service-oriented systems.
Hands-on experience with modern backend technologies (e.g., C#, ASP.NET Core, and DevOps practices) and a solid understanding of system design principles.
Demonstrated ability to use team-level metrics (delivery, quality, incidents, retention) to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional relationships with Product, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
Ability to balance technical depth with people management responsibilities.
