As Head of Product Design at TAPSI, you will own the end-to-end design vision and execution across our products. You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers while working closely with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to ensure design excellence at scale.
This role goes beyond hands-on design—you will define design strategy, establish systems and processes, and ensure that user-centered thinking is deeply embedded in how products are built. You are a design leader who balances craft, strategy, and people leadership to deliver meaningful user and business outcomes.
Define and own the product design vision and strategy aligned with TAPSI’s business goals and user needs.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product designers, fostering a culture of ownership, craft excellence, and continuous learning.
Set a high bar for user experience quality, ensuring products are intuitive, accessible, and delightful for a wide and diverse user base.
Drive design for extreme simplicity, making products immediately usable regardless of age, education level, or digital literacy.
Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data, and other stakeholders to shape product direction from discovery to delivery.
Establish and evolve design systems, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms.
Champion user-centered design by integrating qualitative and quantitative insights into product decisions.
Communicate design vision and rationale clearly at all levels of the organization, from detailed design reviews to executive discussions.
Ensure effective collaboration across teams, resolving ambiguity and aligning stakeholders around shared outcomes.
Balance hands-on contribution with leadership responsibilities, stepping into design execution when needed.
Requirements
Proven experience leading product design teams and shipping impactful digital products at scale.
Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, design leadership, and high-quality execution across complex problem spaces.
Deep understanding of UX, UI, interaction design, and design systems.
Experience building and scaling design systems in iterative, fast-paced environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong grasp of technical constraints and trade-offs.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (especially Figma; experience with Protopie or Origami is a plus).
Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to articulate design decisions using data, research, and business context.
Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple initiatives, and guide teams through ambiguity.
A collaborative leadership style that fosters trust, inclusion, and constructive feedback.
Curiosity-driven mindset with eagerness to learn, experiment, and adopt new tools and methodologies.
