Job Description
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment on drilling rigs and associated facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and emergency electrical repairs at rig sites.
Troubleshoot electrical panels, MCCs, AC/DC motors, generators, and power distribution systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs, soft starters, UPS systems, and related control equipment.
Inspect cables, lighting systems, electrical protection devices, grounding, and bonding systems.
Perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers (Megger), and related test equipment.
Read and interpret Single Line Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, and technical manuals.
Prepare maintenance reports and identify required spare parts, tools, and materials.
Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Maintenance, and Drilling Operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Required Skills
Minimum Technical High School Diploma in Electrical Technology or Industrial Electricity.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Previous experience in drilling rigs, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or similar industrial environments is an advantage.
Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Practical knowledge of MCCs, VFDs, electric motors, generators, and power distribution systems.
Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical isolation, and electrical safety requirements.
Ability to work in operational environments and travel to different drilling rig sites.
Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills.
Required Education
کارشناسی/ کارشناسی ارشد - Electrical Technology ,Power Engineering or Industrial Electricity. Preferred
Required Certifications
HSE and Electrical Safety - Permit to Work (PTW) - Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) - Working at Height, where applicable - VFD, MCC, Generator, and Electrical Testing training Mandatory
Required Languages
انگلیسی (Intermediate)
Technical Skills
This is a mobile and field-based position. The successful candidate must be available for deployment to different drilling rigs and operational sites and perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on site. (Level 4/5)
