Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines—both batch and streaming—to support the organization’s data ingestion, transformation, and analytics needs.
Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows that integrate data from diverse internal and external systems, including event-based and change-data-capture (CDC) sources.
Collaborate with data science, analytics, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into data solutions that enable analytics and decision-making.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage through best practices in data governance and metadata management.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems to ensure high availability, performance, and observability.
Writing in-depth documentation for data pipeline configurations, setup guides, code annotations, and system flow diagrams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards, tooling, and automation practices.
Stay current with new technologies and methodologies in the data ecosystem and assess their potential value to the platform.
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or large-scale data infrastructure roles.
Proven proficiency in Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark, and streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.
Experience with distributed query engines like Trino and data transformation tools such as dbt or similar.
Experience with modern data lakehouse architectures and table formats such as Apache Iceberg.
Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (Redis, ElasticSearch), and analytical OLAP systems (StarRocks).
Hands-on experience building and orchestrating data workflows using Apache Airflow or n8n.
Strong practical experience with real-time stream processing (Spark Structured Streaming, kSqlDB).
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for data processing and automation.
Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Ability to design and optimize high-performance data pipelines for large-scale datasets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
Hands-on experience with Docker for containerized application development and deployment.
Nice to have:
Experience with Medallion architecture and data modelling such as Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Apache Superset and Tableau.
Familiarity with Kubernetes for orchestrating scalable, production-grade data workloads.
