As a Software Test Engineer at SnappBox, you are responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and production readiness of our products You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders in an agile environment to validate new features, verify bug fixes, and proactively identify risks before release
This role requires strong ownership, analytical thinking, and clear communication You are expected not only to execute tests, but also to actively contribute to improving quality processes and team transparency
:Responsibilities
Test new features and bug fixes across supported platforms, browsers, and environments
Design, maintain, and execute manual test cases, including regression, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end scenarios
Review requirements and acceptance criteria, and raise gaps or risks early
Prepare and maintain test plans and test documentation for upcoming features
Accurately identify, report, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact
Prioritize test cases and bugs based on risk, business impact, and release timelines
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger
Actively participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)
Proactively communicate test progress, risks, and blockers to the team and stakeholders
Perform and present feature demos with confidence, ensuring readiness and completeness
Collaborate with developers to analyze issues using logs, monitoring, and analytics tools
Continuously learn, share knowledge, and contribute to improving QA processes and standards
:Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in an agile/Scrum environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Solid understanding of web-based applications and RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with
Postman, Swagger
Task management tools (eg, Jira)
Test management tools (eg, TestRail)
Ability to analyze logs using Elastic or similar tools
Experience working with analytics tools (eg, AppMetrica or equivalents)
Experience writing and executing SQL queries for validation and debugging
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills
Ability to read, understand, and write English technical documentation
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and quality gates
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing high-traffic or production-critical systems
Proficiency in at least one programming language (eg, Python)
Experience with test automation tools such as Robot Framework or Selenium
Experience with API or back-end test automation
