Senior Back-end Developer (.NET)
Wira, a business line of Okala, builds scalable software solutions for retail businesses, focusing on performance, reliability, and seamless financial integrations. We are looking for a Backend Engineer (.NET) who will design high-performance APIs, architect robust data models, and contribute to scalable, event-driven systems. In this role, you will work closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to build reliable, real-time retail infrastructure. Your work will directly impact system stability, transactional accuracy, and real-time data synchronization across devices and platforms.	Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using .NET and C# Architect and optimize SQL schemas for high-throughput retail and transactional data Implement WebSocket-based real-time updates for dashboards and operational tools Integrate with payment gateways and B2C commerce platforms Contribute to event-driven architectures using messaging systems Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams Ensure system reliability, performance optimization, and scalability Contribute to backend best practices, documentation, and code quality standards	Responsibilities
Strong expertise in .NET and C# Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL Strong SQL knowledge and database design experience Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) Experience with offline-first architectures and synchronization strategies Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking Ownership mindset and accountability for production systems Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams Adaptability in a fast-scaling environment (Nice to have) Experience with microservices architecture Familiarity with POS hardware protocols (ESC/POS, USB HID) DevOps experience (Docker, Kubernetes)	Requirements
