Data Engineer Team Lead

Lead, manage, and grow the Data Engineering team Architect the enterprise data platform, including data lake, data warehouse, and real-time processing infrastructure Oversee development of ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming systems, and data integration frameworks Collaborate with AI, Data Science, and Analytics teams to ensure high-quality, accessible, and well-modeled data Drive data governance, cataloging, lineage tracking, and data quality processes Ensure security, encryption, access control, and compliance with banking regulations Manage the integration of core banking systems, digital channels, CRM, and third-party data sources Implement scalable systems using Kafka, Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, microservices, cloud native platforms, and modern storage technologies Ensure high-performance databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, vector DBs), and optimize for cost, speed, and security Collaborate with business lines to deliver data required for product launches, risk modeling, fraud monitoring, and reporting	Requirements
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields Strong understanding of database systems, distributed architectures, cloud computing, and data modeling Knowledge of banking systems, transactional data structures, and integrations years ( 7+) of experience in data engineering or backend engineering years (3+) leading data engineering teams Proven experience designing data platforms at scale (banking or fintech preferred) Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL, ETL frameworks, API integration, and data governance Expertise in tools such as Iceberg, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, or equivalent Experience with real-time systems, streaming pipelines, and microservices	Qualifications
Experience contributing to design systems or building motion and illustration libraries Familiarity with front-end basics (CSS animations, React Native, or similar) Comfort with 3D tools (eg Spline) Passion for storytelling, brand expression, and crafting emotionally resonant experiences	Bonus Points
