Job Purpose
To lead and oversee all high-volume sales accounting processes, including revenue recognition, retail and marketplace sales, and settlements with vendors/sellers. The role ensures the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial data to support reliable reporting and strategic business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate and timely recording of all sales transactions (B2R, B2C, and Marketplace).
Manage vendor/seller settlement processes and monitor related accounts.
Review and analyze accounts receivable.
Monitor cash flows related to sales and settlements.
Supervise invoicing processes, sales returns, discounts, and promotional activities.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Marketplace, and Product teams to ensure data alignment and integrity.
Design and continuously improve financial processes tailored to high transaction volumes.
Prepare analytical reports on sales performance and revenue.
Identify and manage financial risks within the sales and settlement cycle.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal/tax regulations.
Lead and develop the sales accounting team to enhance performance.
Work closely with technology teams to improve financial systems and automation.
Monitor receivables collection and mitigate credit risk exposure.
Review and reconcile sales and revenue contracts in alignment with the company’s structure.
Implement and enhance financial processes in accordance with organizational policies.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience working in e-commerce environments.
Ability to analyze large datasets (Big Data mindset).
Familiarity with financial and reporting concepts.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data-driven tools/software.
Strong problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.
Leadership and team management capabilities.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
3–4 years of managerial experience.
Familiarity with Iranian tax and insurance regulations.
