Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer (Node.js) to join the Zebline Marketing Automation team. As a senior member of our engineering group, you will play a key role in scaling our platform, designing high-performance backend services, and driving architectural decisions that directly impact mission-critical marketing automation workflows. The ideal candidate is experienced in building distributed systems, optimizing service performance, and developing robust APIs that support enterprise-level integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
Lead architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy for Zebline’s marketing automation platform.
Build high-performance APIs and microservices to support complex data flows across external channels, internal systems, and client-side integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and integration engineering to enhance the platform’s automation capabilities.
Optimize system reliability, security, and scalability using best practices in modern backend engineering.
Review code, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to high engineering standards.
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve system throughput and stability.
Contribute to documentation, technical guidelines, and platform best practices.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
Solid experience building microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
Deep understanding of API design principles, asynchronous programming, and message queues.
Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and designing efficient data models.
Strong knowledge of RESTful services; experience with GraphQL is a plus.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and CI/CD workflows.
Familiarity with integration-heavy environments, preferably marketing automation, CRM, or communication platforms.
Excellent debugging skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to system reliability.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical
