Job Description |
| The Wallet & Gift Card Sales Accountant is responsible for managing and controlling all accounting activities related to digital wallet transactions, gift card sales, prepaid products, customer settlements, and revenue reporting. This role works closely with Commercial, Operations, Product, and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy of financial records, reconciliation processes, and revenue recognition across wallet and gift card business lines. | About the Role |
| Record and review accounting entries related to wallet transactions, gift card sales, and prepaid products. Reconcile wallet balances, customer accounts, and transaction records with operational systems. Monitor and reconcile gift card issuance, activation, redemption, and expiration transactions. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of wallet and gift card transactions with banking records and payment gateways. Prepare and analyze revenue reports related to wallet and gift card products. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between accounting records and operational data. Monitor settlement processes with merchants, partners, and third-party service providers. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to wallet and gift card operations. Prepare management reports and provide insights into transaction volumes, revenue trends, and outstanding balances. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy. Assist internal and external auditors by providing supporting documentation and explanations. |
Responsibilities |
| Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in FinTech, Digital Payments, E-commerce, Wallet, or Gift Card businesses. Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and reconciliation processes. Experience with high-volume transactional environments is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and advanced reporting functions. Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Professional attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. |
Requirements |
| Experience with digital wallets, prepaid cards, gift cards, loyalty programs, or BNPL products. Knowledge of payment gateway reconciliation and settlement processes. Familiarity with financial reporting and transaction lifecycle management. |
