Digikala, the largest e-commerce platform in Iran, is looking for high-caliber senior machine learning engineers to help us improve our products and deliver a world-class experience for our customers. In this position, you are supposed to:
Own and lead complex machine learning initiatives from ideation and planning through model design, development, deployment, and monitoring, making key technical decisions independently
Partner closely with Product Managers to define requirements, identify opportunities, and integrate machine learning capabilities into new and existing products
Discover and prioritize high-impact use cases across the customer journey and business operations where Big Data, AI, and Machine Learning can create measurable value
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient machine learning systems and services
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product teams to productionize models and continuously improve their performance, scalability, and reliability
Build and maintain data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and model serving infrastructure to support production ML applications
Communicate complex machine learning concepts, system designs, and analytical findings clearly and effectively to cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
MS/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, preferably in an e-commerce environment
Strong proficiency in Python and the broader machine learning ecosystem
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, development methodologies, and production-grade coding practices
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, model training, evaluation, deployment, and lifecycle management
Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, and experimentation frameworks
Deep understanding of relational databases, big data technologies, and NoSQL databases
Proven ability to translate business and customer needs into impactful machine learning solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience presenting technical concepts, project plans, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to independently deliver machine learning projects end-to-end, from problem definition and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring
