Mission
To provide the plan of the company RAN network at the regional level to achieve a network that:
Matches the competitors’ in coverage
Meets all the license conditions for radio network coverage and capacity
Has enough capacity to support the subscriber base as per the running business plan
Support current & future services such as 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and related technologies.
Is implemented within time and budget
Job Requirements
BSc in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management / Information Technology) or related
Fluent English
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in RF planning. GSM experience is a prerequisite
Experience working in a medium-sized organization
Experience working with several SCs is advantageous
TL experience is preferred
3G & 4G RAN planning experience is preferred
Roles & Responsibilities
Active Collaboration with other departments within Network Group about:
Ensure the Radio network plan is doable by supporting CPG
Rollout and monitoring of new technologies and solutions from a radio perspective
Operational and QC issues that affect the network and radio KPI
Site relocation and CRA matters
BSC/RNC/OSS, transmission, and Core relevant aspects of on-site planning
Power and Material Planning
Active Collaboration with other divisions (e.g., Marketing) within the company about:
Key inputs are obtained & understood that might affect rollout strategy, including information on new products or services and forecasting
Support Marketing and S&D for new service launches and new customers
Legal issues on license conditions and complaints
Site and region visit for planning and implementation purposes
To supervise and ensure the right equipment is planned, allocated to the contractor, and implemented to avoid wasting or a shortage of equipment.
To prepare details of the new site (Micro, Macro, IBS) plan of all assigned technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G mobile and fixed) for increasing capacity and coverage, and finalizing BoQ with vendor and related internal teams.
To prepare details of the network modernization plan, such as swapping, replacing, and adding new boards, technology, and layers.
To schedule a program for events at temporary sites (mainly the CoW site) or adjust existing sites.
To provide a repeater plan and follow implementation for low-coverage areas.
To offer low-cost solutions to boost NW coverage in assigned regions.
To prepare the USO plan and village coverage as per license obligations and regulation demands.
To prepare a plan for the power system of sites and an upgrading plan.
To maintain a dashboard of all assigned BTSs' power situations and ensure additional equipment can be handled with the supplied power.
To provide monthly and ad hoc reports regarding the new plan, plan implementation, challenges, solutions, and so on.
To consider the following in plans:
Targets of ICT and regional ICT
Covergin all target village(s) based on CRA 283 license
Optimized and built for maximum coverage
Received customer complaints from CRA, Letters, and Company Customer Care
Regional teams, S&D, and Marketing feedback
Measured Coverage and OSS KPI
Security, Availability of TRM (technology risk management), AC Power,
Technical Competencies
Network Planning and Design
GSM Cell Planning
Circuit Switching (CS)
Packet Switching (PS)
