Digikala, the largest e-commerce platform in Iran, is looking for high-caliber senior data
scientists to help us improve our products and deliver a world-class experience for our
customers. In this position, you are supposed to
Guide complex projects from ideation and planning, to model design, to
deployment and testing, and independently make decisions about the technical
approach
Partner with the Product Management team to drive requirements for new
products and integrate data during product development
Discover areas of the customer experience and business that can be impacted by
using Big Data, AI and Machine Learning
Extract and analyze data from various sources to model customers’ behavior
Collaborate with the Product team to create insightful metrics and dashboards to
monitor the product’s performance and make informative reports
Describe and speak in an approachable way about complex analyses and
concepts within a cross-functional team
Requirements
MS/BS in Computer Science, Statistics or other related fields
More than two years of experience as a data scientist (preferably in e-commerce)
Proficiency in Python and it’s data analysis and visualization tools
Intermediate knowledge of Software Development Techniques
Strong knowledge of various Data Science disciplines including descriptive
analytics, optimization, hypothesis testing, neural networks, statistic models, and
machine learning
Deep knowledge of relational databases, big data technologies, and NoSQL
databases
Great ability to identify and translate business and customer needs into data
science projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills – experience in writing and
presenting comprehensive narratives on opportunity, objectives, goals, and
delivery plan to customers and stakeholders
Ability to deliver data science projects from start to ends, such as idea
generation, project definition, implementation, testing, and deployment
Plus
Experience in hiring and mentorship processes for data scientist candidates
Experience in leading data science teams
